How to "Fall" into Flawless Skin This Autumn
by Emily Burg on October 10, 2026
As we bid goodbye to the warmth and sunshine of summer and say hello to the cool, crisp air of fall, you may notice some changes in your skin.
Luckily, unlike our wardrobes, you don’t actually need to change your entire skincare routine with each new season to account for these changes. This is because all Emme Diane products are designed to work effectively year-round! However, there are a few small adjustments you can make to “fall” into flawless skin.
Consider Switching to a Heavier Moisturizer
A light moisturizer may have done the trick during the humid summer months, but as we transition into fall, a more intensive moisturizer may be helpful to fight off dryness and keep the skin barrier intact. Utilizing a powerful blend of humectants and emollients, our antioxidant-rich HydraLuxe Cream is the perfect choice.
Focus on Repairing Summer Damage
The transition into fall is the perfect time to start focusing on repairing any damage that occurred from getting a little too much sun this summer! Whether it’s hyperpigmentation, sun damage, or acne scarring, incorporating specialized serums can help repair and rejuvenate the skin on a cellular level for a more radiant, even-toned complexion. Here are some great options:
- Brilliant-C Serum (Vitamin C + Peptides): Unlike any other Vitamin C serum available, this serum combines two highly stable forms of Vitamin C with a unique Biomimetic Peptide, Β-WHITE™, to not only protect against hyperpigmentation but also effectively correct and fade existing discoloration.
- Tri-Peptide Therapy (Copper Peptides) This restorative serum combines Copper Tripeptide-1, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8 and other skin-supportive ingredients to encourage collagen synthesis, support skin repair, and improve the appearance of firmness, texture and scarring. I especially love it for skin that needs rejuvenation but also tends to be sensitive or breakout-prone.
Think of Brilliant-C and Tri-Peptide Therapy as doing two complementary jobs: Brilliant-C helps correct what summer left visible, while Tri-Peptide Therapy helps rebuild and support the skin underneath.
Alternatively, if you're searching for a professional treatment to address the multiple facets of summer damage, you may want to consider PRX-T33 Derm Perfexion, which is a medical-grade treatment now offered at the Emme Diane skin studio in Scottsdale, Arizona. Often dubbed as the "unicorn" facial, it stands out in the aesthetic world for its extraordinary benefits without the peeling or downtime associated with chemical peels, injectables, or other invasive aesthetic treatments.
Its powerful blend of 33% TCA and kojic acid not only helps with repairing summer damage but also targets a wide array of skin concerns such as aging signs, dullness, texture irregularities, and laxity without the typical downtime. While many treatments might require you to hide away from the world due to redness or peeling, with PRX-T33 Derm Perfexion, you can get back to your routine almost instantly.
Take Preventative Measures to Avoid Dryness
As we mentioned above, the onset of fall and the chilly weather it brings can quickly dehydrate the skin. While it feels like the dryness happens overnight, it actually is a snowball effect from habits you may not even be aware of. So, it’s important to incorporate small changes, like investing in a humidifier, to prevent dry skin. We covered 12 of my best tips in episode 4 of the Skin Theory Podcast, so I highly recommend you check that out if you haven’t already!
As we welcome the changing colors, the cozy sweaters, and the pumpkin spice lattes, let's not forget about our skin. By taking the time to make these small adjustments to meet the needs of the fall season, you can ensure your skin stays radiant and healthy all year round.
