Less than 5% of people have a true allergy to benzoyl peroxide, however, everyone is sensitive to benzoyl peroxide and will generally experience some degree of dryness or mild irritation during the initial applications. It’s not uncommon to experience some dryness when starting with the Purifying Oxygen Treatment, but these tips will help keep your skin more hydrated:

Move quickly between each step of your skincare regimen so that the skin does not dry and the products do not fully absorb before moving onto the next step. You will want to avoid any feeling of tightness that occurs when the skin dries as this is water moisture evaporating off the skin.

Next, the salt content in our sweat is incredibly drying and irritating to the skin. Be sure to perform your post-workout skincare routine immediately (less than 5 minutes) after sweating or exercising.

If you exercise first thing in the morning, it is very important that you perform your pre-workout skin routine before your workout as the sweat will reactivate the Purifying Oxygen Treatment causing increased dryness and irritation.
