Retinols are notorious for causing dryness and irritation on the skin which is why we formulate with a mild but effective form of retinol called Retinyl Propionate. The multi-layer crystalline micro-spheres deliver the active retinol down deep into the skin while creating an invisible protective shield on the surface of the skin to minimize irritation and dehydration.

While you can still expect some dryness or mild irritation while acclimating to the Pro-Retinol Serum, we suggest introducing it to your evening skin routine a couple of times a week, then slowly increasing the frequency as your skin tolerates. 

While our Pro-Retinol Serum is safe to use on acne-prone skin to revise acne scarring and smooth the texture of the skin, it is important to first acclimate your skin to week 3-4 instructions of the Clear Skincare Set before incorporating it into your customized skincare routine to prevent excessive dryness and irritation.
