Pure Protection Tinted SPF 40

Providing broad spectrum UVA and UVB protection, this naturally reflective mineral is one of the most effective sun protectors available. It’s also antimicrobial and non-comedogenic making it safe for acne-prone skin.

A highly stable Vitamin C derivative that is oil-soluble, allowing it to penetrate deep into the skin to stimulate collagen. Powerful antioxidants neutralize free radicals and help visibly soothe environmentally distressed skin.

Known for its antioxidant properties, Vitamin E helps to defend the skin against free radical damage and promotes healing to diminish the signs of aging. Its skin conditioning properties also help to support the skin's natural barrier and retain moisture. 

These essential skin lipids are proven to increase skin hydration and lock in moisture to support and maintain healthy skin and optimal barrier function.

Our Pure Protection Sunscreen is perfect for all skin types, including those that are acne prone. It is ideal for daily use, however it is not water and sweat resistant, therefore when exercising or spending time in the water, opt for our Tinted Mineral SPF instead. 

Chemical sunscreens (e.g. oxybenzone, avobenzone, octisalate, octocrylene, homosalate, or octinoxate) undergo a chemical reaction with the UV rays, absorbing them and then releasing the extra energy as heat. The sunscreen's chemical reaction only lasts for a limited amount of time, so you have to reapply after 2-3 hours to ensure you’re still protected.

Physical sunscreens (e.g. zinc oxide, titanium dioxide) create a barrier of protection that reflects and scatters the UV rays. What's great about these sunscreens is that as long as the barrier is intact (you haven't sweat through the sunscreen or wiped it off) you won’t need to reapply as frequently. 

While they are similar in some ways, the biggest difference is that the Pure Protection SPF 40 has the added benefits of anti-aging ingredients (so it is a sunscreen that acts like skincare!) It contains antioxidants, vitamins C & E, and ceramides to not only protect the skin from the sun, but also repair existing sun damage, stimulate collagen and maintain hydration. While it is a newer formula for us, it has proven to be the new favorite! The Tinted Mineral SPF 40 has a more matte finish (so combo/oily clients love it). It is also water/sweat resistant for up to 80 minutes. 

To ensure your skin is properly protected it’s important to apply the correct amount of sunscreen. The proper dosage is a nickel-size dollop every time you apply it to your face.
