Emme’s Night Routine
by Emily Burg on December 06, 2024
As the founder and CEO of Emme Diane, my days are packed with decisions, meetings, and creative problem-solving. My nighttime routine is my cherished time to offload the day’s stresses, recharge, and reset for the next day. From skincare rituals to mindful moments, these evening habits are vital to help me stay energized, clear-headed, and focused—while keeping my skin glowing!
Here’s a peek into my nightly routine:
Teatime
The moment that marks the close of my day and the start of my night routine is steeping a hot cup of tea, preferably chamomile.
Reflect + Journal
As I enjoy my tea, I write out my “wins” for the day and any magical moments. Although it sounds simple, reflecting on the day and acknowledging what was amazing is such a great practice since, even if it was a hard day, there is always something to be grateful about! Also, it’s so fun to look back on your journal to remember what magical moments have happened in your life…little and big!
Supplements
To support hormonal balance (aging is no joke!) and gut health (something I prioritize) I’ll take my nighttime supplements, as prescribed by my naturopathic doctor.
Soothing Bath + Read
The most delicious time of the night: a deep soak in a bath w/epsom salts. I’ll use this time to catch up on reading, mostly non-fiction. Always be learning!
PM Skincare Routine
I’ll get in my pajamas, brush my teeth, and then do my nighttime skincare routine, which currently looks like this:
- Gentle Cleanser
- Ice
- Calm Down Toner
- Pro-Retinol Serum
- Skin Quencher
- Barrier Balance
- Acne Eraser 5% (wait a few minutes after moisturizer to fully absorb before applying)
- If I have any active breakouts forming, I’ll dot on our Pink Potion
Meditation
I started my day with an energizing meditation, so I like to end-cap my day with a reflective gratitude meditation. I was recommended this one which I have really been enjoying, and I’ll have that playing from my phone as I drift off to sleep. I like to be in bed by 9:00pm.
Sweet dreams!
xoxo,
Emme
